Lahinch has become one of the foremost surfing locations in Ireland, with waves for the experienced and inexperienced alike. Our beautiful town is also a location for other watersport, including kitesurfing and windsurfing. Equipment and training sessions can be booked with one of the numerous surf shops along the beach.
Lahinch is home to the 36-hole Lahinch Golf Club, founded in 1892. The original links was laid out by Old Tom Morris. It regularly hosts the "South of Ireland Championships" and did host the Irish Open in 2019.
Lahinch is a great location to go diving and snorkelling. Be it wreck-diving, snorkelling with the seals, etc. There is something for everyone. Several PADI-certified operators can be found along the beach.
